About Simon

I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist (C.Psychol, AFBPsS) with over four decades of clinical experience working with individuals and couples.

My work is integrative and evidence-based, shaped by professional practice and my own lived experience – including living with a physical disability. I believe this brings a more realistic and grounded understanding to issues that are often complex or difficult to articulate.

I have specialist training and extensive experience in psychosexual and relationship therapy, working with both the psychological and physical dimensions of intimacy, desire and the ways relationships are affected by health, stress and life change.

I also have a longstanding interest in the psychological impact of chronic illness, disability and ageing – including how these shape identity, relationships and sense of self.

My earlier background in art, design and film contributes to a flexible, creative approach, and I have experience working with people in the creative industries and healthcare professions.

I work collaboratively, reflectively and practically – helping people make sense of their experiences and find a way forward that feels realistic and meaningful.
