Psychosexual & Relationship Therapy
Sexuality is central to life, yet often one of the most difficult things to talk about. Many people live with concerns for years before seeking help – whether relating to desire, function, identity or the impact of a relationship or health difficulty.
I offer a thoughtful, open, and non-judgmental space where you can talk freely about whatever is concerning you, without embarrassment or pressure to fit a particular category.
My approach is both psychologically informed and grounded in an understanding of the physical, relational, medical and cultural dimensions of sexual difficulties – including the ways illness, disability and treatment can affect intimacy and sense of self.
I work with individuals and couples on issues including:
- Loss of desire or mismatched desire
- Erectile and arousal difficulties
- Orgasm difficulties and pain during sex
- Anxiety, confidence and performance concerns
- Affairs, betrayal and rebuilding trust
- Sexual orientation and gender identity (including trans and non-binary experiences)
- Kink, BDSM and alternative relationship styles
- Compulsive or problematic sexual behaviours
- The impact of illness, disability or medical treatment on sexuality
- Long-standing patterns affecting intimacy and relationships
Therapy in this area is often both reflective and practical – exploring patterns, addressing anxiety, improving communication and finding new ways of relating to yourself and others.
